Lita Will Be a 'Fantastic Deal' For Swansea City

Swansea City manager Brendan Rodgers says signing Leroy Lita for 1.75m will be a fantastic deal for the club, if they can agree personal terms with the Middlesbrough striker.

The Championship side have accepted a bid from the Swans and Rodgers is hoping that personal terms can be agreed to secure his services for the upcoming Premiership season.

Rodgers said:

"Leroy is a proven goalscorer,'

"He is also someone who I have known for a while and it would be a fantastic deal for this club.'

"Our supporters would love him because he is a player that is loved by the supporters of every team he plays for.

"So we will see what happens. Hopefully we'll have some good news about that pretty soon."

Lita has been playing at Championship level for the past few seasons after leaving Reading to join Middlesbrough on a free transfer.

There doesn't seem to be a lot of positivity amongst the Jack Army faithful about Lita's possible arrival, but the vast majority fully trust Rodgers' judgement and ability to give us the best chance of avoiding relegation and an instant return to the Championship.

What are your views on Lita's possible signing? Is the squad strong enough to avoid relegation?
