Lita Is 'Far From Certain' To Join Swansea City
Middlesbrough boss Tony Mowbray has admitted a deal has been agreed, but concedes that a deal is far from certain.
According to reports this morning, the £1.75M bid has been accepted for the long term target - Leroy Lita.
It is thought that Lita, who has one year left on his contract, may in fact wait it out until next year for a lucrative deal as a free agent.
Tony Mowbray said:
"Leroy was going to see what was on offer. It's not cut and dried, not at all,' Mowbray said.
'We have agreed a fee with Swansea. It doesn't mean much.
"I've had a good chat with him. He has a chance to play in the Premier League and good on him. His talent has earned him that chance. If he comes back then I'm sure he will work hard to get in this team."
Lita joined Middlesbrough in 2009 as a free agent after leaving Reading FC, could history repeat itself?
Meanwhile, Marvin Emnes is still on Brendan Rodgers' mind over a switch to the Liberty Stadium.
