Sinclair Back With Swansea After Extended Break

Sinclair Back With Swansea After Extended Break

Scott Sinclair is back at Swansea City after having an extended 2 and a half week break following his involvement in the under-21 European Championships.

Some fans may have wondered where he was during the first friendly matches of the season last Saturday - at Neath and Port Talbot, but he had been on international duty with England, so he got a well earned break.

Despite the fact that he'll have a shorter pre-season preparation period than the rest of the squad, manager Brendan Rodgers says he'll be fine to face Manchester City on August 15th:

'Scott had two and a half weeks less than everyone else off because of the European Championship so I've given him extra time before he had to come back,'

'He meets up with us this weekend and, while he will not be involved in the game at Afan Lido, he will fly out with us to Austria on Monday.

'He will be fine by the time we play Manchester City.

'He has kept himself ticking over and he is really looking forward to getting back playing, so I don't think there will be any problem with his fitness.'
