Bodde: 'I'm Fine' After Port Talbot Friendly

Swansea City midfielder Ferrie Bodde says he's 'fine' despite playing less than 20 minutes in today's 3-1 friendly win at Port Talbot.

The Dutchman went off with what looked like a hamstring strain, and there were instant worries amongst the many Swansea City fans in attendance that he had suffered yet another injury setback.

But the good news is that he was only expecting to play 15-20 minutes anyway, having been involved in double training sessions recently.

Despite only a brief appearance at the Genquip Stadium today, Bodde showed some excellent touches, and sprayed some of his usual excellent long range passes - one of which set up Craig Beattie for our opening goal.

Bodde said:

'I'm fine,''

'I was only going to play 15 or 20 minutes anyway and everything went well. It was a good run by Beatts for the goal - and that's what makes the pass.

'As you know, I've been out a very long time and we've had a tough week with double training sessions. I had tired legs and was feeling a bit tight and stiff, but that's only to be expected.

'I feel good considering it was over a year ago that I played my last game for Swansea. It was nice to pull on the shirt again and I had a great reception from the fans; but saying that they've always been good to me.''
