Gudjohnsen Set To Snub Swansea City For West Ham

Brendan Rodgers believes striker target Eidur Gudjohnsen will snub Swansea City for a move to Championship side West Ham United.

The Swans have held several talks with the Stoke City frontman, and whilst they looked close to securing the 32 year-old's services, it looks like the Hammers will come in late and scupper the deal.

Rodgers told Sky Sports:

'Eidur won't be coming. I spoke to him again last night and I think he'll probably end up going to London to be at West Ham.'

Gudjohnsen appears to be another target that Swansea City will lose out on, while it's been reported that Newcastle United's Wayne Routledge will also snub an offer from the Swans to drop down a League to go to Leicester City.

The Swansea boss has also revealed that he is looking to add another three or four players to his squad in preparation for the forth-coming Premier League season.
