Swansea City Back In For Jason Scotland?

Sky Sports are today reporting that Swansea City are in talks again about signing former striker Jason Scotland from Ipswich Town.

Brendan Rodgers failed in his attempts to sign him towards the end of last season, as they weren't prepared to pay all of his wages.

Initial talks have begun according to Sky Sports, but is this the right move for a player who struggled to score in the Premier League after he left us to join Wigan Athletic?

The Swans have also been linked with having talks to sign Eidur Gudjohnsen, and it appeared that he was close to agreeing to a move before West Ham showed an interest.

Eidur's father Arnor told the Sun that he is considering offers from the two clubs:

'I can confirm that both Swansea and West Ham have now offered contracts to Eidur. He is looking at both the offers.'

It would have to be cheap and include spending plenty of time on the bench as back-up. I don't buy the "He didn't score because of the team he played in". Plenty of clear cut opportunities to score and I even remember an open goal? We've moved past the Scotland era.
