Swansea City In Talks With Gudjohnson

It is understood that Brendan Rodgers has made contact with the former Champions League winning striker over a deal to join the Swans.

The 32 year old Eidur Gudjohnson who is now a free agent could be on his way to the Liberty Stadium in what would be a signal of intent from the South Wales club.

Gudjohnson, who has an honours list to rival most footballers which include; two Premier League winners medals with Chelsea; La Liga winning medal, Champions League winners medal, Copa Del Ray winners medal, Uefa Super Cup and a Spanish Super Cup winners medal with Barcelona could very well be playing his football under Brendan Rodgers this season.

An ideal role for Eidur, would be to sit behind Danny Graham in what would be a potent attack mixed with experience.

Brendan Rodgers is now awaiting a response from the Gudjohnson camp over the move.

Eidour, is a very good player, but would rather see dobbie in the holding role behind graham as hes more mobile and think he could suprise a few people in the premier league this season. UTS!!!!

Dobbie has earned his opportunity in the Premier League, I agree. However, it's imperitive to have strength and depth in any team. This would be a great deal.
