'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Marcos Senna Deal 'Not Dead' Claims Jenkins

More than two weeks ago, the out of contract Marcos Senna admitted that a move to Swansea City FC would interest him.

However, Brendan Rodgers claimed this week that the deal would be 'Too Rich' and the deal was pretty much dead as Senna himself suggested that he was close to agreeing an extension with Villareal, where he has spent the last 10 years.

Now it emerges that Swansea City haven't given up hope of landing what would be the free transfer of the summer.

Huw Jenkins said when asked about the Senna deal:

"It`s not dead."

Swansea City are still short in a number of key positions and are actively looking at a striker, goalkeeper and another defender after securing the season loan of Steven Caulker.

Apparently Villareal are after another target and could save on wages by signing him instead of keeping Senna
