Rodgers Looking For 4 or 5 New Signings

Swansea City manager Brendan Rodgers says he's not looking to make big changes to the squad, but is targeting 4 or 5 new signings to prepare for the Premier League next season.

Rodgers has quickly snapped up his first signing of the Summer, bringing in Watford striker Danny Graham for a record 3.5m fee, and Villareal midfielder Marcos Senna and Spurs defender Steven Caulker are other targets.

Rodgers said:

'The core of our group will stay as it was last season,'

'I want to tap in to the unique spirit we have here again next season, but I am not naive enough to think that we don't need one or two extra bodies in certain areas who can support the players we have.

'I am hoping we can add four or five who will make us stronger for what we hope will be a fantastic season.'

Brendan Rodgers has also released four out of contract players - Cedric van der Gun, Albert Serran, Jamie Grimes and Kerry Morgan.
