Rodgers Delighted With Graham Signing

Swansea City manager Brendan Rodgers said he was 'delighted' to sign Danny Graham from his former club Watford for a new club record fee of £3.5m.

The 25 year-old and last season's top goalscorer in the Championship, has been a long-term target for Rodgers ever since he joined the club last year, and the Swans boss described his strengths and what he'll bring to the squad:

'We are delighted to have Danny on board,'

'First and foremost he is a goalscorer — the highest goalscorer in our league last season — and he gives us another real threat up front as we go into a league where we need to score goals.

'Technically he is strong — he has two good feet, a great touch and he can finish on either side.

'He can set the game up short or he can run behind and he wants to score goals.

'Tactically he is good as well — I have seen him over the last couple of seasons filling in out wide, as he did when he played down here.

'He is adaptable and hopefully he will fit in with our philosophy very quickly.'
