Swansea City Release Four Players

Swansea City manager Brendan Rodgers continues to shape his squad for the Premier League next season by releasing four senior players.

Cedric Van Der Gun, Albert Serran, Jamie Grimes and Kerry Morgan will now look for different clubs after their contracts at Swansea came to an end this month.

It's far from surprising to see these players leave following our promotion to the top flight, as they struggled throughout last season for a first team place.

Ever since Roberto Martinez signed Albert Serran in 2008, he never proved himself to be good enough for the first team, while Cedric Van Der Gun failed to live up to the hype when he arrived in 2009. Youngster Jamie Grimes never featured in a match for the Swans while Kerry Morgan played in a handful of Cup games but often played his football on loan in the League of Wales.

Tom Butler is also out of contract, but the official site states that there are still on-going discussions with the player.

Who else do you think Rodgers should look to release this Summer? You can discuss this topic in the Message Forum here
