Leacock Deal Fallen Through

Dean Leacock has returned to Fulham after his move to Swansea City has fallen through.

A joint statement from Swansea and Fulham read: 'Dean Leacock's permanent move to Swansea has fallen through after the two clubs and the player failed to agree all the relevant terms of the contract. Dean has now returned to Fulham and rejoined the first team's pre-season preparations.''

Leacock had signed a 3 year contract subject to a medical. There have been strong rumours lately suggesting that the player had failed a medical which meant the deal couldn't go through.

Huw Jenkins said: 'We are very disappointed how things have turned out over the last day or so. But sometimes things happen in football which are out of our control.

'Kenny (Jackett) is very disappointed because Dean was one of his main targets. But I can guarantee the supporters that Kenny is looking to bring in one or two new signing within the next week or so.''

what is more shocking is that the club has not learnt their lessons with transfer deals.

Sounds as if they've tried to do it the quick and easy way, getting the contract signed and forgetting about the medical and just assuming that he's pass it. Sounds very unprofessional.

Suppose my comment was wrong as i was very disappointed at the time I looked to blame it on someone...the matter of the fact is if he failed his medical it was a done deal...but surely the same deal can be agreed again soon when the player is fit enough to pass the medical....I also want him to come because I want him on my shirt:P!!
