Adams Congratulates Swansea City

Adams Congratulates Swansea City

Former Swansea City boss and current Sheffield United manager Micky Adams congratulated the Swans after securing a play-off place and ending the season with a 4-0 home win.

Adams was at the Vetch Field was such a short spell that he barely got time to know all the players' names probably as he left after 13 days.

The Blades boss believes the Swans will be a 'real threat' in the play-offs:

'Congratulations to Swansea on the way they played,'

'Certainly they have players who on their day can hurt any team and they are going to be a real threat in the play-offs.

'There are four good sides in the play-offs, and I heard Brendan saying that the others all have experience of being there.

'Nerves will play their part, but I don't see Swansea's philosophy changing and that can be important.

'The problem comes sometimes when teams get into the play-offs and change the style which has got you there.

'You have got to be at your best to combat Swansea, and I think they will do well.'

He also said that the 4-0 defeat at Swansea sums up their season:

'We have had a few tough days, and it was always going to be difficult coming here with the squad we came with,'

'And if ever the story of our season was told in one game, it came here. We had two chances in the first half and didn't take them, and we haven't been able to take those chances since I've been here.'
