Pearson: Swansea Have a 'Good Chance' To Go Up

Hull City manager Nigel Pearson has praised Swansea City and believes they have a 'good chance' to win promotion to the Premier League.

Pearson watched his side draw 1-1 against Swansea City on Tuesday night and says that they have a good chance for promotion despite them dropping 2 points.

'Swansea have got a good chance,'

'They're a team I've got a lot of respect for. I think their style of play is to be applauded and how they go about things.

'They're on 70 points and if you look at the run-in — although I know games on paper mean nothing — they must think they've got a really good chance.

'They're definitely going to be in the play-offs as far as I'm concerned, but they'll be hoping to do it automatically.'

Pearson also believes the Swans will be more successful than last year and that they are progressing well as a club:

'Over the last three seasons it's been a progression,'

'I think they finished eighth, then just missed out last year and probably should have got in the play-offs, but finished seventh.

'They're going to do better than that this year, the club's making progress so that's got to be good for them.

'In the situation they're in now, they would be hoping they can push on and get one of the top two places.

'I've known Brendan for a while, I like the way they play football and it suits the players that they have.

'The club has a philosophy. They obviously choose their managers in accordance with that.

'Not everybody does that, but I think variety is good because you don't want everyone doing the same thing.'
