Rodgers: Draw vs Hull Is 'Bitterly Disappointing'
Swansea City manager Brendan Rodgers said it was 'bitterly disappointing' to only draw last night's home game against Hull City.
The Swans struggled to break down a very organised and defensive Hull side, until Mark Gower delivered what was needed - a stroke of brilliance, as he cut in on his right foot and fired a right-footed shot into the bottom right corner of the net.
However, the lead didn't last long, as Hull responded moments later as the home defence failed to clear the ball and it fell to Evans whose shot deflected into the net.
Rodgers' team had enough time to try and get a winner but Hull remained defensively organised and even created some good chances to nick it with some decent counter attacking moves.
'It's very disappointing having worked so hard to get in front. Some of our play was outstanding.
'We started the game not so good but we came into it. Our patience and passing was good and paid off and we got into some good areas.
'We got the goal we deserved and it was a wonderful strike from Mark. But then we gave a poor goal away from our own throw-in which has ended up costing us.
'Hull are a good side and very well organised. They had to change which was a great compliment to ourselves. But you can see why they have gone so long unbeaten away from home because they hang on in there.
'We put ourselves in a great position, had control of the game but a poor throw-in and we have found ourselves drawing the game.
'They are all big games so we have no complaints. We will have to pick up a win elsewhere where maybe we could have drawn.'
