Lambert: The Onus Is On Swansea City

Norwich City boss Paul Lambert says the 'onus is on Swansea City' as the two sides face each other tomorrow in front of a near sellout crowd at the Liberty Stadium.

Norwich are one of the most in-form sides in the Championship, and their recent run of results has seen them rise up to 2nd in the table - 4 points ahead of us as we look to narrow the gap tomorrow.

With a big home crowd, plus a good travelling support of around 2,000, Lambert says the onus is on Swansea City as they'll be looking for a much needed win, anything less would mean automatic promotion would be very difficult.

'The onus is on the home side. Any home side with the majority of the crowd on your back, they'll try and drive Swansea on.

'We are taking a terrific following down there ourselves, and we'll try and give them something to cheer about and it makes for a really good game, but the onus certainly is on the home side.'

Lambert knows all about the quality in Swansea City's squad and says they were one of the best sides they've faced at Carrow Road:

'Without a doubt one they are one of the best teams we've seen at Carrow Road, there are no two ways about it.

'They gave us a really hard time at home and we were fortunate to win that game 2-0 on that given day. The way they played the game was excellent, but our team has changed considerably since that game.

'I know how hard it's going to be and we'll have to play well to win.'

Kick off tomorrow is at the later time at 5.20pm due to the game being shown live on Sky Sports. Vital Swansea will hopefully provide updates via Twitter to keep you updated.
