Butler Returns For Swansea City Reserves

Tom Butler returned from a long term injury to feature for the Swansea City Reserves side as they lost 1-0 at Swindon Town.

Abdul Said got the winning goal for Town just before the break as the Swans controlled large periods of the game but struggled in front of goal.

Alan Curtis named a Reserves side mixed with youth and plenty of senior experience, with the likes of Cedric Van Der Gun, Andrea Orlandi, Tom Butler, Ashley Richards, Leon Britton and Craig Beattie all starting.

Butler had a good chance to get an equaliser on 65 minutes after a good one-two with Orlandi, but the goalkeeper made a good save.

Beattie then had a late effort on goal on 90 minutes but Tom Ryan denied the Scot as Swindon held on for the win.
