Gueret Signs New 2-Year Deal

Goalkeeper Willy Gueret has signed a new 2-year contract with the Swans, keeping him at the club until 2008.

Despite an excellent first season with us in which we won promotion to League One, his form dropped the following year and was then the subject of a 100,000 move to MK Dons, a bid the Swans turned down.

Huw Jenkins said: 'Willy has been a pleasure to deal with,'

'Everything was sorted out in no time at all and he was keen to commit himself to Swansea City.

'It became apparent very quickly that Willy has the desire to stay and do well and it was very refreshing and encouraging.'

Gueret is currently the only goalkeeper at the club following the release of Brian Murphy.
