Glovers Keen To Sign MacDonald Permanently

Yeovil Town boss Terry Skiverton says he's interested in signing Swansea City midfielder Shaun MacDonald on a permanent basis.

The 22 year-old has joined the Glovers recently for his fifth loan spell at Huish Park and Skiverton is hoping to make the move a permanent one.

MacDonald has been a popular signing whenever he has joined Yeovil Town but he has struggled to get anywhere near the first team at Swansea City.

Skiverton said:

'I think Shaun knows about it and I think Swansea know about it we would like to take him permanently.

'I think we will do everything in our power to do that in the summer.

'Part of the process I am trying to bring in is why not go for the likes of Jon Obika and Shaun MacDonald and really build and stamp our authority on League One by getting in these brilliant young players.

'I am not saying that we will get them, but we will see if we can throw our hat in the ring and get our own players and build our squad rather than enhancing other teams' players by taking them on loan.'
