Rodgers Hoping To Sign New Striker On Loan

Brendan Rodgers is believed to be looking at the emergency loan market to strengthen his attacking options ready for the final promotion push.

The Swansea City manager said earlier this year that he thought new signings would be 'unlikely', but Rodgers is hopeful he can bring in a new striker on loan before the window shuts in 8 days.

The Evening Post believe that the Swans have made inquiries about a player - and his club are willing to loan him out.

Rodgers said:

'We are always looking to see if we can do something,'

'Can we give the group a little injection going into the last nine games of the season?

'A fresh face coming in would give us that burst of enthusiasm, intensity and quality that would help us.

'That's why we are looking at the situation to see if there is something that can be done.'

He brought in a fresh face---- Luke Moore--a complete disaster--a very poor buy. There's no way he can get anyone of quality now--this is just wishful thinking---lack of goals will be our downfall.

Wrong, we got Borini in and he did the business on his debut
