'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Bessone Confident Swansea City Can Go Up

Fede Bessone says his former club can go all the way and win promotion to the Premier League.

The Argentine spent two years at the Liberty Stadium but things haven't quite worked out since joining Leeds United, as the full back is now on loan at Charlton Athletic.

Swansea City gave their promotion push a boost on Saturday with a comfortable 3-0 win at home to Leeds, and Bessone believes his former club can go up to the top flight:

'I'm happy for Swansea because they still play good football,''

'I haven't seen a team in England, even the Premier League, who play football like that. You have to come to Wales for that,''

'We won 2-1 at Leeds, but I think football is fair and Swansea deserved to win at the Liberty.''

Asked if Swansea can go up, Bessone said:

'Of course. I think so and hope so for them.

'I was here for two magnificent years and I owe everything I have in my career to Swansea.

'I will be very happy for everyone at Swansea if they are promoted.''

'I think Leeds are good enough to stay in the top six,''

'They have a good, strong squad.

'They didn't play well on Saturday, but I can see them fighting all the way.''
