Rodgers: Sinclair Can Get 30 Goals This Season

Brendan Rodgers says Scott Sinclair has the confidence and the ability to go on and score 30 goals this season, after he increased his tally to 21 yesterday.

The former Chelsea winger, who arrived last year for a bargain at 500,000, opened the scoring for us at home to Leeds United yesterday before adding a second from the penalty spot.

Rodgers praised Sinclair again and says he'll be greedy for more goals with 12 games remaining.

"He`s that greedy he`ll want 30, which is great,"

"He has the instinct to score goals. He`s got searing pace, great balance and what I love about him is that he wants to score goals.

"Having watched Swansea for a couple of seasons I knew that was the type of player we needed.

"I had to convince him to come to here because he could have gone to the Premier League, but with the help of his teammates he`s got 21 goals.

"All Scott ever needed was games, he`s always had the ability."

no reason why not, good to see him scoring again after a spell where he couldn't get a goal for a few games
