Sinclair: Best Team Performance of the Season

Sinclair: Best Team Performance of the Season

Swansea City winger Scott Sinclair said the team produced their best performance of the season to beat Leeds United convincingly 3-0 at the Liberty Stadium.

The winger scored twice, including one from the penalty spot to help continue our excellent run of form.

Sinclair said:

'As a team that was our best performance of the season,''

'We passed it well, controlled the game; scored three goals and kept a clean sheet.

'We've got a great chance of promotion, but the gaffer (Brendan Rodgers) keeps us grounded . We know that we've got to keep playing like that for the next 12 games. Then, and only then, will we stay up there.''

Sinclair also increased his goal tally for the season to 21, he added:

'It's a nice feeling. I didn't set myself a goal target at the start of the season; I just wanted to go out and try and score in every game, although I knew I wouldn't get 46,''

'It's my first full season and if I can finish the season strongly then who know how many I can get.

'The gaffer has confidence in me - and I now have confidence in myself because I am playing week in week out.''
