Rodgers Admits New Signings Are Unlikely

Brendan Rodgers has admitted that it's unlikely that he'll make any new signings before the end of the season.

"It's like groundhog year, this situation is just about identical to 12months ago, roughly the same league position, the same request from the manager to the board for a striker, same answer from the board, NO. Then they ask the question why can't we fill the stadium."

The Swansea City manager told Swans Player that new signings would be unlikely, but if he did make any they would only be for 'cover'.

After talking about Edgar returning to Burnley, Rodgers was asked if there were many other players coming in, and he replied:

'Not many, no. They would only be for cover unless we find something out of the ordinary which probably won't happen because that takes finance and money to do that.'

'I'm very happy with the group that we've got.'

'I have great faith in the players that are already here.'

There has also been reports of Jason Scotland making a return on loan, but a move looks highly unlikely now due to us being unable to match Ipswich's request of paying all of his weekly wages.

Were on the brink of the Premiership the best League in the world! why doesnt the board just break the bank and get in someone even if its only until the end of the season, Not much to ask for if that player gets us promoted is it? Come Huw spend a little and get Jason Scotland back! especialy with the wages of Edgar and Cotterill
