Moore Targets First Goal At Middlesbrough

Luke Moore says he's settled in well at Swansea City and is looking to get off the mark at Middlesbrough on Saturday.

The former Aston Villa and West Bromwich Albion striker has had a difficult start at the Liberty Stadium. despite being a regular in the starting line-up since he joined last month.

Moore has yet to score and many fans have been disappointed with the new signing, the lack of impact that he's made plus of course the fact that he's still yet to score in 6 appearances.

'I've had a good goalscoring record at Middlesbrough over the years,''

'It would be nice to open my account for Swansea there, but anywhere would be nice.

'I've settled in well at the club and I know now why they always say the Welsh are brilliant. Everyone is so friendly and I'm loving it down here.

'I'm getting games under my belt, which is good, and learning about the way the team plays all the time.

'It's sometimes difficult playing as a lone striker. You can feel like the sacrificial lamb on times and the way we play then sometimes all the chances will fall to the midfielders.

'But we are all in this together and with 16 games left we've all got to step up and go on a run because there's a big prize at the end of it.''

Moore should be fit for Saturday's game away at Middlesbrough despite suffering concussion during Sunday's defeat at home to arch rivals Cardiff City.

It's long overdue, his first goal. My worry is that he isn't contributing anything to the team, not even drawing defenders wide or making runs. He is supposed to be quick bt we haven't seen that either. One more game without scoring and that's surely enough to put him on the subs bench.

Yet again he couldn't get on the scoresheet, Beattie didn't need long to score another great goal to impress the manager and tempt him to put him in the starting line up instead of a goal-shy Moore
