Rodgers' Reaction After Loss To Cardiff City

Rodgers' Reaction After Loss To Cardiff City

Brendan Rodgers shares his thoughts after watching his Swansea City side lose 1-0 at home to Cardiff City.

Craig Bellamy fired in a superb late goal from 30 yards to give the Bluebirds the win in the South Wales derby, but Rodgers thought his side looked like the one to win it as the game went on.

"It`s disappointing because it looked like it was only going to be one winner in the second half, apart from them hitting the post,"

"Cardiff probably edged it on chances but as it went on more and more it looked as if it was going to a matter of time before we scored.

"I felt we were getting there with some good bits of play and Scott was a real threat as the game went on.

"We got him through some times and looked to get that final ball.

"We felt we were starting to find that space in the second half and cause them problems - but what can you do against a goal like that?"

"That`s why he`s [Bellamy] paid all the money he gets,"

We played well but same old story no striking power. Luke Moore no flare, and Gower back to his old self. Augustien should have started to give us more muscle. Their strength beat us not their football.
