Brendan Rodgers says last night's performance at Bristol City was one of the best of the season.
Darren Pratley scored either side of half time to give the Swans a comfortably 2-0 victory at Ashton Gate in front of 1,630 travelling supporters.
Rodgers told the Official Site that he thought his side were 'brilliant' as they got our first League win at Bristol City since 1989.
'I thought we were brilliant,'
'I said to the players that not many teams come here and get clapped off by the home support.
'The first-half was a good demonstration of how we play, with and without the ball, and the second-half we knew that Bristol City for the first 15 minutes would adapt tactically to try and stop us playing.
'But once we rode that storm we took control again and it was impressive.'
It was a test for the Swans in the second half as far too often in recent years, we've been unable to go on and win games comfortably after playing well and taking a lead.
Away from home we've let the opposition get back into games and 1-0 is never a safe scoreline - especially with Swansea City. Bristol City came out a much improved side in the second half after looking poor in the first. Rodgers' side dealt with the early pressure though and Pratley got a vital second to kill the game off.
There has been some negativity surrounding some fans recently, due to disappointment at a lack of new signings in the transfer window plus some poor results. But yesterday's win seems to have most of them smiling again. The travelling fans were in full voice as they chanted 'The Jacks Are Going Up!' after Pratley doubled our lead.
