'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Monk Welcomes Back Edgar To Swansea City

Garry Monk was pleased to see David Edgar back at the back, after working with the defender last season during his loan spell.

The club skipper, currently sidelined with a knee injury, says the 23 year-old is a good signing:

'It's a good signing for us, especially coming so close to the deadline,''

'He knows most of the lads from last season and settled in well when he was here. He's a good guy.

'More importantly, he can play anywhere across the back four and knows the system we play.

'That's a huge advantage, together with the fact that he's a defender who can also play football from the back.''

Edgar joined the Swans in March 2010 and played 5 games for the club and scored one goal.
