Huw Jenkins has rejected reports that both Bolton and West Ham United have submitted bids for midfielder Darren Pratley.
The Swansea City chairman simply said that 'We've had no offers for Darren Pratley from West Ham or any other club during the transfer window,' after reports suggesting he was close to joining a Premiership club this month.
TalkSport believe that Bolton Wanderers are close to landing the 25 year-old, while Wales Online today 'understands' that West Ham United have tabled a bid, which the Swans have apparently turned down.
Pratley's future at the Liberty Stadium is in doubt as he has rejected the chance to extend his current contract, which expires at the end of the season.
Some fans have been frustrated with the player's lack of loyalty, and had hoped that we'd be able to cash in on him this month, instead of risking losing him for nothing at the end of the season.
With just 5 more days remaining in the January transfer window, we'll soon know whether or not Pratley will continue to play for the Swans until May at least, and if he does, it'll be interesting to see what he decides to do in terms of signing a new deal with us or to move on.
His decision could also be determined on our achievements this year - whether or not we can achieve promotion to the Premier League to tempt him to stay. He may also want to take note of former players who have left the Swans for a Premier League club. Most of them haven't gone on and improved their careers, with Jason Scotland returning to Championship after a disappointing spell at Wigan, and Jordi Gomez struggling to set the world alight there either.
