Rodgers Still Looking To Sign Striker & Defender

Brendan Rodgers says he's still looking to strengthen his defensive and attacking options before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.

The Swansea City manager has made two signings so far in 2011, Luke Moore from West Bromwich Albion and today's return of Leon Britton from Sheffield United.

Rodgers is looking to add more defensive cover, as Garry Monk and Neil Taylor are both out injured, and he's also looking to strengthen his attacking options further.

'We don't have big finances to go out and make a statement, but we will see what comes around,'

'With Neil Taylor and Garry Monk both missing, I feel there is a need for a defender.

'Jazz Richards has come in and done really well and Daniel Alfei has shown his promise, but we might need one or two other possibilities in that area.

'Luke Moore has shown in the couple of games he has played what he will bring us and we have other options in Stephen Dobbie and Craig Beattie.

'But we'll try to reinforce our attacking options so we can be as strong as possible and have enough on the bench to change a game.'
