'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Pratley Aims To Score More Goals

Darren Pratley says he's looking to score goals to help Swansea City's promotion push, after scoring his third goal in 4 games to help the Swans beat Crystal Palace 3-0 yesterday.

The midfielder did well to side-foot Sinclair's cross into the net just before half time and that set us on our way to getting a comfortable victory.

Pratley said:

'It was a good team performance to get three goals and three points,''

'We had to be patient because Palace came and put 10 men behind the ball.

'But the crowd helped us by being patient as well. They let us play our football and didn't put pressure on us - and that's what you need when teams come here for a point.

'I'm happy to get seven goals by January. I've already matched my total from last season, but hopefully there will be a few more to come.

'Scott (Sinclair) must be worried I'm going to catch him because he's grabbing the penalties as well now,''

Pratley also praised Nathan Dyer, after he won our first penalty early in the second half:

'It was a great bit of skill from Nathan to get the penalty,''

'He would have got a shot away if he hadn't gone down. But I'm glad he was knocked down because we all know what Nathan's shooting is like!

'But, seriously, he's been different class since he's been here. He may have got the man of the match award in front of the live cameras, but we all know that was a normal performance from him. He does that week in week out.''

Is there any truth in the rumours that he will be leaving you during the transfer window?
