Ashley Williams will stay after the January transfer window but could leave if we don't win promotion this season - according to his agent.
The Welsh international defender has caught the interest of 2 or 3 Premiership clubs, but his agent believes he'll be staying in the South Wales for the rest of the season at least.
The 26 year-old is under contract until 2013 but it's been reported that new contract talks have stalled, suggesting that he may well be looking to move to a Premier League club if we fail to gain promotion in May.
His agent, Jamie Moralee said:
'Ashley still has a lengthy contract at Swansea and in terms of this January window I can't see anything changing with him,'
'I see him 100 per cent still being a Swansea player at the start of February.
'Ashley has been linked with a lot of clubs, but I think his attitude, along with that of the Swansea chairman and the Swansea manager, will be 'Let's get our heads down and try to get promoted'.
''Then, if we fail as team, maybe we will sit down and talk about the possibility of moving on to pastures new'.
'If Swansea put Ashley up for sale tomorrow, he would be gone by Friday.
'But they don't want to sell him and Ashley doesn't want to go.
'He loves Swansea and appreciates the chance they have given him in the Championship.
'He isn't putting in transfer requests and he wants to get promoted with them.
'If it doesn't happen, I don't know if he has another season in him to try again with Swansea. I don't know — I can't look that far forward.'
Regarding new contract talks, Moralee added:
'The talks have been put on hold for the moment because Ashley doesn't feel the terms offered are right for him at this stage of his career,'
'It's an important contract for him.
'He is not old, but he is not a kid anymore.
'But I don't think anyone can say anything about Ashley's commitment.
'He is breaking appearance records and showing the same commitment as ever.
'It's not as if he is trying to run his contract down.
'He has not thrown the towel in or anything like that. He gave everything at Leicester — he was frustrated as anyone about the defeat — and he will continue to do the same.'
