'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Eriksson Proud After 'Deserved' Win

Sven Goran Eriksson said he was proud of his players after his side's 'deserved' 2-1 home win against Swansea City this afternoon.

The former England manager thought the win proved that his Leicester City team is getting stronger after beating one of the best sides in the League - Sven said.

Eriksson also admitted that Sinclair missed a great opportunity near the end to give Swansea City a share of the points.

'This is a very big win for us. The last time we played against Swansea City, I said that they were one of the best sides in this division and nothing has changed my mind on that.

They played some very good football today and in the second-half we really had to work hard, which we did.

I am very proud of the players and their performance. We worked very hard today and I think we deserved the victory.'

'To be honest, Swansea had a great chance in the second-half, but I am very happy with how we played and perhaps that was just the little bit of luck we needed.'

Leicester's win today means they are still unbeaten at home under Sven-Goran Eriksson.
