Brendan Rodgers says he can't rule out the possibility of selling one or two of his star players in January as he is expecting to receive some bids in the transfer window.
The main focus of attention is on Darren Pratley and whether or not we'll accept a bid for the midfielder, as he has yet to show any intention of extending his contract at Swansea City.
Brendan Rodgers may feel it's best to cash in on the 25 year-old to give him more funds to sign a striker.
The likes of Dorus De Vries and Ashley Williams may also attract interest from Premier League clubs, while the likes of Jordi Lopez, Shefki Kuqi, Cedric Van Der Gun and Gorka Pintado could move on.
Rodgers told the Official Site:
'I would be surprised if there isn't interest in some of our players because they have done very well.
'Would we sell? I can never say never — every player in football has his price.
'As much as I would like to keep them all here, it could be a chicken and egg situation where if we want to get the type of player I want in, we may have to generate some money without taking anything away hopefully.
'But I would only consider that possibility if it comes, so we will see.'
Rodgers also added that he doesn't want to make big changes to the squad, but ideally would like to add an attacking midfielder and a striker.
'I don't want to break up what we've got, I want to add,'
'But if we need real quality in a certain area, that will cost money and we may have to look at it. I don't need to bring in a lot of players and there would be no point just bringing anyone in. That's not what I want.
'I want players who can make a difference, and unfortunately they cost money.
'If you haven't got money you have to try to find another way to get that player in. I would love £1.5 million or £2 million to go and get a target who would make a difference for us, but if we can't do it we will carry on working with a group who have been excellent for us.'
