Pratley Shows The Reaction Rodgers Was Looking For

Brendan Rodgers said Darren Pratley has shown the reaction he was looking from the midfielder after dropping him from the first team.

The former Fulham player has received criticism recently from the fans for his performances and as a result he has been on the bench for the last few games - including Saturday's 1-0 defeat away at Sheffield United.

He did come on as a second half substitute though, and boss Brendan Rodgers said he was happy with his display:

"I thought that was the same Darren Pratley we`ve seen in the last few years.

"He`s had to be patient, but he`s a good pro and has been working hard to get back in the side. That was the reaction I was looking for.

"Every player knows that if they get in the side they`ve got to take it and keep it because there are others waiting to come in.

"I thought he was outstanding throughout the second half.

"He passed it simple and got on the move. He`s hard to live with like that."

There's also been media speculation suggesting that the club are considering selling Pratley in the January transfer window to avoid losing him for free when his contract expires at the end of the season.
