Leon Britton is confident that Swansea City can stay in the top 6 despite helping Sheffield United to a 1-0 win against his former team-mates on Saturday at Bramall Lane.
Our 6-match unbeaten away run came to an end and our home form also needs a big improvement, but the pint-sized midfielder says the Swans are certainly capable of staying where they are in the Championship table.
'Swansea are capable of staying up there with the squad they've got and the quality and characters in the team,'
'They will be disappointed with this result, but I'm sure they will bounce back and come the end of season they'll be there or thereabouts — in the top two or play-offs.
'They are a more attacking side this season and press higher up the pitch.
'Under Paulo (Sousa) last season we sat back a lot more and let teams come on to us.
'This year the widemen and forwards are closing down higher up the pitch and making it difficult for the opposition.'
Britton also told how it was strange playing against players in a team that he had been a part of for so long.
'They've got a bit more of a cutting edge at the top end,'
'While it didn't show as much against us, it has shown in the results they've had this season and their league position.
'Scott Sinclair was a big danger throughout the game and he's got that cutting edge. He faced the full-back up, cut inside and got a few shots off to force some saves from the keeper.'
'It was a strange day playing against my former teammates and club.
'It was even stranger on the training ground with everyone talking about Swansea as the opposition because I've never played against a former club before.
'We looked like we would be going in at 0-0 at half-time and then the goal came out of nowhere. It was a good time to score,'
