Rodgers: We Lacked Our Usual Intensity

Brendan Rodgers said his side lacked their usual intensity after their 6-match unbeaten run away came to an end at Sheffield United.

Welsh international striker Ched Evans scored the all-important goal just before half time and the Swans struggled to get back in the game in the second period.

Our lack of an attacking threat and our struggle sometimes to score enough goals to win games lately is becoming a concern and a lot of fans are calling out for the club to spend money on a striker in the January transfer window.

Rodgers said:

'I thought we deserved something from the game,'

'We controlled the first half and then a lapse of concentration gave them something to hang onto.

'To be fair, though, we did lack our usual intensity. That was something I emphasised at half-time. We are going to lose some games though.'

Same old story from Rodgers, I can't understand what he expects as he's picking the same team even though they haven't performed for the last 6 games. The last time the side played well was against Cardiff. He will keep on picking Gower and Orlandi in central midfield when they are both off form and too lightweight. We need a strong player infront of our back four-- Auguste an for example and Taylor should get a game at left back as Tate looks tired.

We need a quick strong goal scoring striker Beattie simply isn't good enough

Makes no difference who our striker is---- we don't make enough chances and we play too slowly. A new approach is vital now from the manager.
