Rodgers: We're Getting Better

Swansea City boss Brendan Rodgers is pleased with his side's progress and says they are getting better week by week.

The Irishman watched his team rescue a point in injury time at Doncaster Rovers yesterday afternoon, and Rodgers says that point could prove to be vital at the end of the season.

'We are showing some real good signs at the moment,'

'The point could be absolutely vital for us. It's the mark of the top teams and we feel that week by week and day by day we are getting better.'

'I said to the players that this is a game where you don't want to look back having played well but not got something from the game,'

'I think we showed our mentality as a group today and that was the most pleasing thing.

'We had to be patient and keep going and thankfully we showed that mentality and sport to keep going and it got us a wonderful goal.

A point away from home is a good point and could be critical for us later on.'

Swansea City now look forward to Friday night when they host Portsmouth at the Liberty Stadium. Pompey currently lie in 16th place and without a win in the last 4 games.
