Rangel: Dyer Is a 'Massive Player' For Us

Angel Rangel has praised his team-mate Nathan Dyer, and says that while he is a different player to fellow winger Scott Sinclair, he is a 'massive player' for the team.

Dyer has been in excellent form recently and despite a lack of goals from the pint-sized speedster, he makes up for it in his amazing pace, skill, work-rate and overall contribution to the team.

Sinclair is the club's top goalscorer with 12, and while Dyer's final ball is sometimes not great, he has proved to be a vital player in the team and his link-up play with Rangel on the right wing is also excellent.

Rangel praised Dyer and said:

"Nathan is a completely different player to Scott,"

"Scott`s got a lot of our goals so far, but Nathan is a massive player for us.

"Any left-back in the division who comes up against him knows they have to be on top of their game because he`s right up there with the quickest in the Championship.

"He has got so much quality, if he starts to add goals to his game he will be very difficult for anyone to stop."

"The gaffer gives me freedom to go forward and that`s something I like.

"I can get forward and support Nathan. I always say the best defence is a good attack.

"We`ve got a great understanding now and he makes it very easy to play alongside him.

"Everyone knows he has plenty of pace and when he passes me the ball I know it is going to be good.

"He helps make me a better player.

"Over the last two seasons we`ve shown we have a great understanding and we are now very comfortable playing alongside each other."
