Swansea City Target WBA Striker Bednar

Swansea City Target WBA Striker Bednar

Swansea City are reported to be interested in signing West Brom striker Roman Bednar before the emergency transfer window closes on November 25th.

Brendan Rodgers is looking to strengthen his strikeforce following Marvin Emnes' return to Middlesbrough, and Roman Bednar has emerged as one of the first potential targets to sign on loan before next Thursday's deadline.

The Swans face competition to sign Bednar as both Leicester City and Hull City have been linked with the Czech Republican. However, our 3rd place and attractive playing style could tempt him to sign for us instead of one of many other interested Championship sides.

Bednar joined Albion from Hearts for £2.3million in 2008 after a successful loan spell in which he scored 13 goals in 18 games. After that, he netted a further 17 goals in 34 League games, but he's struggled to get games in the Premiership under manager Roberto Di Matteo, and the Italian may well look to loan him out to get games.
