Rodgers: Allen Can Be Best In The Championship

Rodgers: Allen Can Be Best In The Championship

Brendan Rodgers has tipped Joe Allen to be one of the best midfielders in the League, as he continues to develop and improve.

The Swansea City manager is a big admirer of the 20 year-old and the young Welshman is proving his quality in every game he plays.

Rodgers said:

'He is a player who will arguably end up as the top midfield player in this league this season, and he is 20 years of age,'

'The maturity in his performance level is excellent. He is playing against really experienced players.

'Middlesbrough have got a hatful of Premier League players in there, but every game the kid shows his temperament and qualities.

'He has got all the ingredients to play at the very highest level and he is getting the platform to show that now.

'We are doing a programme with him aimed at making him an all-round better player, on and off the field.

'He feels the confidence I have in him and as a player that's what you want. He is really maturing.

'He can deal with the ball, which the top players can do. He is happy to accept the ball in any situation and the way he uses it is top class.

'He is a big talent and it is great to see a Welsh guy coming in and doing so well.'

if he can continue to develop and improve like he has done then there's no reason why he can't be one of the best in the league. would like to see him scoring a few more now
