Rodgers: Dobbie To Take Over Penalty Duties

Brendan Rodgers says Stephen Dobbie will take over the penalty duties after David Cotterill missed his second spot-kick of the season on Tuesday night at home to QPR.

The Welsh international struck a weak, low shot which Paddy Kenny saved quite easily - a similar penalty to the one he missed at Norwich City earlier in the season.

Most Swans fans thought Scott Sinclair or Stephen Dobbie should be taking the penalties, and they'll be glad to hear that Dobbie will take over the spot-kick duties, Rodgers said:

'I need to give someone else a chance to come in and take the penalties.

'Stephen Dobbie was our number two penalty taker and he can take up the baton.'
