Rodgers Aims To Push On For The Play-Offs
Brendan Rodgers says he's played with his side's start to the season and he's now aiming to stay around the play-offs and push on in the New Year.
Swansea City have another two-week break with the International games being played this week so Rodgers has a chance to reflect on the opening 10 games of the Championship campaign.
He told the official site:
'The international break is a good time to reflect with 10 games gone,''
'I'm very pleased with where we are.
'You are always greedy and want more points - and I think we could have had more points - but I've been really pleased with the way the players have adapted to the way I work.
Rodgers is aiming for his Swansea City side to stay consistently around the play-offs, before pushing on in the New Year and target the top 6.
'In the short time I've been here, we've had some great results and performances.
'The players have been fantastic and I've had great support from the club, its staff and the supporters.
'I could have come into a club where the players didn't want to work, adapt and learn. But they are good players who want to do well; they are hungry and ambitious.
'I want to keep that one-club mentality going forward and the feedback I've had from the supporters is that they are pleased with the way we are working.
'Now the target will be to at least stay where we are - in and around the play-offs - until after the Christmas period and then look to make a push in the New Year.''
