Rodgers Expecting A 'Frosty Reception' At Watford

Brendan Rodgers says he's expecting a 'frosty reception' when he returns to his former club Watford this evening.

The Swansea City manager left Vicarage Road in controversial circumstances in 2009, claiming his dedication to the Hornets shortly before leaving to take the job at Reading.

Rodgers did a good job at Watford, but their fans treat him as a traitor now and no doubt will they make their feelings known towards him during tonight's game.

'I think Watford away is a game we need after Saturday,'

'The players are going into an environment where the focus and the intensity will be up because I am coming back, but that should be a real motivation for us.

'I expect a frosty reception, this will be my first time back at Watford but I will focus on the game and what matters is the players on the field.

'[But] I have nothing but respect for the club.

'There are a lot of great people there and, in the short period I was there, we became very close.

'There's nothing that will taint that for me.

'I had a great relationship with the supporters, we grew together, and it was just unfortunate the way it ended.'
