Swansea City Sign Striker Nouble On Loan
Swansea City have completed the loan signing of West Ham United striker Frank Nouble, according to Wales Online.
The Official Site has yet to confirm the news of Nouble's arrival, but it's believed that he has signed on a 3-month loan move from Upton Park.
The young forward has been a target for Brendan Rodgers since pre-season and he loaned out Shefki Kuqi to Derby County in order to bring in the big 6 ft 3' frontman.
Stephen Dobbie was the only fit striker available for Tuesday night's game at home to Coventry City, but Rodgers said he was hopeful to sign a loan striker before we host Scunthorpe United on Saturday.
The Swansea boss will be delighted to land his man, and he is a big admirer of the striker who he worked with at Chelsea.
Rodgers told BBC Sport:
'He is a young player I know well,'
'He is on his way to Swansea and everything has been agreed between the two clubs.
'Frank will be a terrific addition to the squad. We have players who have great possession of the football but I felt we needed to improve our penetration of the team.
'We have brought in Scott Sinclair who has been fantastic, Nathan Dyer has been equally outstanding on the other flank and has Stephen Dobbie has been excellent up-front.
'And I just felt we needed to add someone with a bit more power in the central area and Frank has stature, presence, burning pace and wants to score goals.
'He has some Premier League experience and this is a chance for him to be part of a terrific squad and prove he can come and play and work well at this level.'
