Boothroyd Criticises His Team After Swansea Defeat
Coventry City boss Aidy Boothroyd criticised his team's performance after watching them lost 2-1 against Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium last night.
The Swans completely dominated the first half but only had one goal to show for their efforts and attacking quality, while Coventry could create one decent chance on goal.
The visitors showed a big improvement in the second half, and if they played like that for the entire game they might have got something out of it, but in the end Turner's goal on 56 minutes was too little too late.
Swansea were under the cosh for large periods of the second half but we also had a few chances late on to put the game beyond doubt.
'We got some pride back in the second half. But if you are to get out of this league, you can't mix it up like we did.
'We looked lost in the first half, then did more of what we've been working on after the break.
'Part of getting out of this league is being consistent. You can't turn it on and off like a light switch.
'But it took us 45 minutes to introduce ourselves to Swansea.
'It's not acceptable - even when your not playing well you can be on the front foot and we weren't.'
