Swansea City Reserves Draw At Home To Swindon

Swansea City Reserves got their first point of the season this afternoon after drawing 1-1 at home to Swindon Town.

With Colin Pascoe now helping manager Brendan Rodgers with the first team, Tony Pennock took charge of the Reserves in Alan Curtis' absence.

Josh Parsons opened the scoring for the visitors in the first half at Port Talbot's GenQuip Stadium but James Loveridge equalised early in the second half.

Trialist Yves Makaku-Makalambay started in goal as Brendan Rodgers looks to provide more competition for number 1 goalkeeper Dorus De Vries.

Pennock named a youthful side against Swindon which only featured two senior players - Scott Donnelly and Casey Thomas - who provided the assist for our equaliser.

Swans: Yves Makabu-Makalambay; Scott Tancock, Matthew Whatley, Joe Walsh, Ben Daves; Kurtis March, Charlie Kasler, Scott Donnelly (C), Casey Thomas, Jordan Prosser (Thomas Da Silva, 73'), James Loveridge.

Not Used: Jandir Zola, Josh Pike, Frazer Clark, Adam Hurrell.

Goal: James Loveridge (53')

Swindon: Phil Smith, Tom Ryan, Will Evans, Lecsinel Jean-Francois, Michael Rose, Nathan Thompson (C), Alan O'Brien, Abdul Said, Matthew Clark, Josh Parsons (Seb Broomfield, 52'), Thomas Dossevi.

Not Used: Jakub Jesionkowski, Dan Evans, James Richards.

Goal: Josh Parsons (26')

Referee: Wayne Stephens (Llanelli)
