Rodgers Targets Two Premier League Strikers

Rodgers Targets Two Premier League Strikers

Brendan Rodgers is looking to sign two Premier League strikers as he hopes to strengthen his squad before the transfer window closes tomorrow.

The Swansea City manager has been keen in recent weeks to bring in a striker and an attacking midfielder.

Arsenal youngster Henri Lansbury has been strongly linked and Rodgers says he's hopeful of signing him on loan, but we face stiff competition from Leeds United who had a loan bid accepted by the Gunners.

As far as strikers go for the Swans, Dundee United's Sandaza has also been linked after having a trial at the club but a move now looks unlikely.

Middlesbrough's Leroy Lita was also a target but it's being reported that Gordon Strachan is now willing to let him leave the Riverside Stadium.

West Ham United forward Frank Nouble is also a target but there's been few reports lately regarding any update on a possible loan move for the 18 year-old.

Shefki Kuqi's future at the Liberty Stadium could also be in doubt as Rodgers looks to bring in a couple of strikers. A move to Huddersfield United fell through in the Summer but the Evening Post believe that a few other League One clubs are interested in signing the Finn.

With only hours till the transfer window close, we need to close in and sign ASAP. suffice to say I have been rather impressed at the way most of our players have been performing, and can't wait to see how any new blood fit in to the squad.
