Laws: We Would Have Won If We Had 11 Men

Brian Laws said his Burnley side would have won today's game at the Liberty Stadium if his side had 11 men.

Darren Pratley was sent off after picking up two yellow cards in just a few minutes, but Mears was also shown red after a foul on Nathan Dyer.

Swansea City should have had the game won by half time after a superb first half, but we only had 1 goal to show for our efforts, and Burnley responded in the second half as they piled on the pressure.

Laws said:

'That game shows that Swansea City are a good team. We knew that before we arrived and we didn't take them lightly,'

'Yet the frustration is that we never had the opportunity to taste the extra man. We had about 30 seconds of 11 v 10. We would quite clearly have gone on and won the game had we had longer.

'Tyrone Mears has quite clearly got to look at himself. We are professionals and we have to play with our heads and not our hearts. Even the most experienced players lose their heads sometimes.'
