Lansbury Move 'Pending' But Rodgers Still Hopeful

Brendan Rodgers says a loan move for Henri Lansbury is 'pending' but he remains confident that he will sign the young Arsenal midfielder.

The Swansea City manager is keen to add the attacking midfielder to his squad but the move has been delayed due to Arsenal duo Samir Nasri and Emmanuel Frimpong picking up injuries. Lansbury himself has also suffered a groin problem in training this week.

Despite the hold-up with the loan transfer, Rodgers remains confident that it'll go through:

'Henri has a slight injury and Arsenal have other problems in midfield so we are having to wait and see what happens,'

'But I am hoping he will be back up and running soon and that he will then join us.'

The Evening Post also reports today that a move for Dundee United striker Sandaza now looks unlikely, but we're still looking to sign West Ham United forward Frank Nouble. The Swans also expect to see the arrival of trialist Kemy Agustien.

I hope we do sign him but if we don't Rodgers is going to make himself look a bit silly after saying that he was going to join us.
